こんにちは
I'm super excited to take Japanese this semester. It's always nice to start a new language, because aside from the practical benefit of gaining the ability to communicate with another part of the world, I could learn to appreciate another culture. Asian culture and tradition often fascinates me because of its difference with Western culture, and their different approaches to issues are interesting. Another part of why I'm excited is because I've been exposed to Japanese entertainment since I was young, so over the years I come to love many aspect of it. I also hope to travel a lot sometimes in the future, and Japan is definitely on the top of my list. I know learning Japanese will not be easy, but I think it'll be rewarding in the end.
